The 1st Asia-America-Europe Business Cooperation and Development Forum was Successfully Held in Bali

LITERASIPOST.COM – BALI | The 1st Asia-Europe Enterprise Cooperation and Development Forum co-sponsored by the China Asian Economic Development Association, Beijing Yaoyang Public Welfare Foundation and the Belt and Road Cultural Exchange Women’s Foundation, and hosted by the Foreign Exchange Committee of the China Asian Economic Development Association was successfully held in Bali. The Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, the Indonesian Embassy in China and a number of domestic and foreign business associations participated in the work of the forum as supporting units. With the theme of “Cooperation, Development, Mutual Benefit and Win-win: Cooperation and Innovation of Asian, America and European Enterprises”, the Forum brought together more than 500 politicians, entrepreneurs and economists from three continents, as well as mainstream media at home and abroad.

The participants thoroughly analyzed the current development path of enterprises and the development trend of the global economy, and conducted in-depth discussions on the international economic pattern, the path and solutions for Chinese enterprises to go overseas, artificial intelligence, bioeconomy, international trade, corporate social responsibility, and public welfare activities.

Former Deputy Prime Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office of Thailand Shaha Manjapanese pointed out in his speech that this forum provides important opportunities for exchanges and cooperation among countries. At present, Thailand’s recovery is relatively slow, so the Thai government will continue to implement a proactive fiscal and prudent monetary policy, deepen cooperation with countries in Asia, the United States and Europe, expand diversified markets and reduce dependence on a single market.

Taruna Iqral, Director General of Indonesia’s National Food and Drug Administration, pointed out in his speech that the food and drug safety situation in Indonesia has been generally stable in recent years. In order to ensure people’s “safety on the tip of the tongue”, Indonesia must further strengthen food and drug supervision and improve the effectiveness of supervision. We will further promote reform in the field of food and drug safety, optimize the regulatory system, strengthen coordination among departments, and form synergy in supervision.

Li Hongwei, Chinese Minister Counsellor to Indonesia, mentioned in his speech that China and Indonesia are friendly neighbors, as well as major developing countries and emerging market economies. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the building of a China-Indonesia community of shared future has deepened, the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation has been increasingly deepened and concrete, and bilateral trade and investment cooperation has been upgraded. China is speeding up its modernization drive, which will create more development opportunities for Indonesia and other countries in the world. China is ready to deepen multilateral and bilateral trade and investment cooperation with other countries, build a closer industrial chain and supply chain cooperation system, and move forward together on the path of common development and prosperity.

Former ROK Prime Minister Lee Soo-sung said in a video address that the forum will not only promote in-depth exchanges between enterprises of various countries, but also bring significant benefits to the economic development of the Republic of Korea. As an important economy in Asia, South Korea has significant advantages in scientific and technological innovation, manufacturing and cultural industries, and through cooperation with Asian, America and European countries, South Korea can further expand its market, enhance its international competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth, Lee said.

In his speech, Kwon Soon-ki, president of the China Asian Economic Development Association and co-chairman of the organizing committee of the 1st Asia, the United States and Europe Business Cooperation and Development Forum, said that currently, the global economic landscape is undergoing profound changes. The 1st Asia, the United States and Europe Business Cooperation and Development Forum was held to build a cooperation platform for entrepreneurs from all countries and promote high-quality development of global enterprises. As the world’s second largest economy, China has taken an active part in international economic cooperation and is committed to building an open world economy.

Jiang Dan, founder of Beijing Yaoyang Public Welfare Foundation and co-chairman of the organizing committee of the 1st Asia, the United States and Europe Business Cooperation and Development Forum, pointed out in his video address that the forum is not only a bridge for business cooperation, but also an important platform to advocate corporate social responsibility and promote harmonious social development, discussing how to better fulfill corporate social responsibility, participate in public welfare and charity activities, and promote social progress.

In her speech, Gu Jiali, co-chair of the board of directors of the Belt and Road Cultural Exchange Women’s Foundation and co-chair of the organizing committee of the 1st Asia-U.S. – Europe Enterprise Cooperation Development Forum, said that since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed, it has become an important global platform for international cooperation. In the context of globalization, corporate cooperation is seen as key to economic development. Companies in Asia, the Americas and Europe have not only brought economic benefits to countries along the Belt and Road, but also provided important platforms for global connectivity, international economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

At the signing ceremony of the forum, the Foreign Exchange Committee of the China Asian Economic Development Association signed the cooperation projects of China-Indonesia Education Industrial Park and China-Indonesia Production and Manufacturing Industrial Park with China Oriental Education Group and Jiangsu Youao Intelligent Technology Co., LTD. The Bio-economy Branch of China Asian Economic Development Association and the Indonesian Medical Device Association signed the China-Indonesia Bio-Economy Industrial Park cooperation project.

In the main forum session held later, Sun Yingjie, Vice president of China Asian Economic Development Association and Secretary General of the Organizing committee of the 1st Asia-Europe Enterprise Cooperation and Development Forum, served as the moderator.

Indonesian Assistant Foreign Minister Tintin Wayuddin said in his speech that the Indonesian government attaches great importance to friendly and cooperative relations with other countries, and Indonesia will continue to uphold an open and inclusive foreign policy, actively participate in international affairs, and make positive contributions to safeguarding world peace and prosperity. The Indonesian government will continue to promote the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthen economic and trade exchanges with countries along the routes to achieve common development.

In his speech, Baxi, representative of the Australian Chamber of Commerce, stressed that in the era of deepening globalization, economic integration has become an irreversible trend, and the development of enterprises cannot be separated from the expansion and cooperation of the international market. Global economic integration has provided unprecedented opportunities for enterprises. Lower trade barriers and rapidly developing information technology make it easier for enterprises to enter the international market, expand business areas and optimize the allocation of resources.

In the keynote speech of the forum, Li Daxi, chairman of the International Chinese Science and Technology Business Association of the United States, made an in-depth analysis on the theme of “Asian, American and European enterprises should seize the great opportunity of collaboration in the tide of digital economy”. Li Daxi pointed out the importance of the digital economy, and pointed out how Asian, American and European enterprises should seize the opportunities through cooperation in the tide of digitalization, and achieve common development.

Nurul Iqwan, Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream of Indonesia, delivered a wonderful speech to the guests on the theme of “Investment Opportunities and Business Environment in Indonesia”. He introduced Indonesia’s unique advantages in the global investment environment, highlighting the country’s strategic geographic location, rich natural resources and growing consumer market. Nurul Itchwan noted that Indonesia is in a stage of rapid economic development, and the government has actively promoted infrastructure construction and reforms to enhance the attractiveness of the investment environment.

With the theme “ASEAN Outlook: From Resilience to Stronger Economic Growth”, Enrico Tanuwidjaja, ASEAN Economist at UOB in Singapore, provided participants with an in-depth analysis of the development of the ASEAN region in the current global economic environment. He said the global economy has faced many challenges in recent years, but the ASEAN region has shown strong resilience with its unique geopolitical advantages and the advancing process of regional integration.

Mr. Wu Xiaobo, Director of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Zhejiang University, introduced China and globalization in the new era from the aspects of the development course of globalization, China’s role in globalization and the strategies of China’s participation in globalization in the new era. Wu Xiaobo stressed that as the world’s largest developing country, China’s development has provided a strong driving force for global economic growth, and at the same time, China is playing an increasingly important role in the reform of the global governance system.

Chu Jian, founder of Zhongkong Technology Group, explained in detail the path of globalization and the application of industrial artificial intelligence in process manufacturing to the guests at the event. He pointed out that with the continuous development of the global economy and the rapid progress of science and technology, enterprises must actively broaden their horizons of globalization and make full use of advanced technological means to enhance their competitiveness if they want to remain invincible in the fierce market competition. Chu Jian believes that the globalization path and the application of industrial artificial intelligence in process manufacturing is the key for enterprises to achieve transformation and upgrading and enhance their competitiveness.

Lu Yuibing, chairman of the board of Directors of Air Liquide (China) Investment Co., LTD., and chairman of the Carbon Neutral 50 Forum for Transnational Corporations, elaborated on the important role of multinational corporations in promoting the internationalization of Chinese enterprises to the guests with the theme of “Multinational corporations helping Chinese enterprises go global”. He pointed out that with the rapid development of China’s economy, more and more Chinese enterprises have begun to seek overseas markets, and multinational corporations, as the pioneers of globalization, have provided a series of support and help for these enterprises.

Wang Yanming, Secretary general of Beijing Yaoyang Public Welfare Foundation and co-vice chairman of the organizing committee of the 1st Asian-America-Europe Enterprise Cooperation and Development Forum, presented certificates of honor and MEDALS to the best partners, representatives of outstanding entrepreneurs and representatives of outstanding volunteers on behalf of the organizing committee.

In the afternoon of the same day, the forum held a sub-forum on “Belt and Road and Maritime Fulcrum”, which was moderated by Wang Danning, president of the Women’s Foundation for Belt and Road Cultural Exchange and co-vice chairman of the organizing committee of the 1st Asia-America-Europe Business Cooperation and Development Forum. During the same period, China-Indonesia Sub-Forum on Medical Health and Biotechnology Innovation, China-Indonesia New Energy Sub-Forum, and China-Indonesia Maritime Resources and Cooperation Sub-Forum were held respectively. Participants had in-depth discussions and exchanges on related topics, opening a new chapter for China-Indonesia cooperation.

In addition, the forum also provided opportunities for many participating enterprises to establish contacts and cooperation, promoting business docking between different countries and regions.
